Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications:
- Diploma in Hotel Management
- Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology
- Degree in Hotel Management
- Degree in Hotel Management and Catering Technology
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality and Hotel Administration
- Bachelor of Business Administration (Hotel Management and Tourism)
- Bachelor of Arts (International Hospitality Administration)
- Bachelor of Science (Catering Science and Hotel Management)
- Master of Business Administration (Tourism and Hotel Management)
- Post Graduate Diploma in Tourism and Hotel Management
All qualifications must be from universities established under Central or State Acts in India, or institutions recognized by the Government. Candidates must also have basic computer knowledge as per Gujarat civil services rules and know Gujarati or Hindi.

Preliminary Exam:
- Mode: Computer Based Response Test (CBRT) or OMR Based (MCQ)

- Duration: 180 minutes (3 hours)
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer
Part-A (60 Marks):
- Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation: 30 Marks
- Quantitative Aptitude: 30 Marks
Part-B (150 Marks):
- Gujarati – English Comprehension, Current Affairs, Constitution of India: 30 Marks
- Subject Knowledge Related MCQs: 120 Marks (covering Hotel Management, Catering Technology, Hospitality, Tourism)
