The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has released a notification for recruitment of 1560 positions. These include Medical Officer posts in Gujarat Health Service, Class-II and Industrial Safety Medical Officer posts in Gujarat Industrial Safety and Health Service, Class-II.

Eligibility Criteria
Industrial Safety & Health Officer
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering from a recognized university
- Basic knowledge of computer applications as per Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules-1967
- Adequate knowledge of Gujarati, Hindi and English
- Age limit: Not more than 3 years
Medical Officer
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from a recognized university
- Basic knowledge of computer applications as per Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules-1967
- Age limit: Not more than 40 years (as on 16/05/2016)
Application Fee
General Category candidates must pay Rs.100/- as application fee. Candidates from Unreserved Economically Weaker Section & Reserved Category of Gujarat State, and physically disabled candidates are exempt from the fee. Reserved Category candidates from Other States must pay the application fee.
Pay Scale
Pay Band Rs. 9300-34800/- Plus Grade pay Rs.5400/-
Selection Process
Final selection will be based on written examination.
