Educational Qualification
Candidates must meet one of these requirements:
- Post Graduate degree in Fisheries Science OR Master’s degree in Science with principal subjects: Fisheries Resources Management, Aquatic Biology, Mari culture, Post Harvest Technology, Marine Science, or Zoology OR two-year post graduate diploma in Fisheries Science from recognized universities in India OR
- Three years experience as Fisheries Officer (General), Class III, in Government Fisheries Department OR equivalent experience in fisheries management, preservation, processing, or marketing in government bodies, corporations, or registered organizations OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries Science or Science with Fisheries Resources Management or Zoology AND five years experience as Fisheries Officer (General), Class III, in Government Fisheries Department OR equivalent experience OR
- Basic knowledge of Computer Applications as per Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967 AND
- Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both
Age Limit
Not more than 40 years
