Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: You need a law degree from any university recognized by the State Government. Additionally, you must be enrolled as an advocate with any State or Union Territory Bar Council in India. Knowledge of Bengali language is essential – you should be able to read, write, and speak it fluently.
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 23 to 35 years old to apply for these positions.
Selection Process
The selection will happen in multiple stages:
- Preliminary Examination
- Final Examination
- Medical Examination
- Personality Test
Application Fee
The application fee structure is as follows:
- Rs. 210/- plus 1% service charge of examination fee (minimum Rs. 5/-) for online payment through debit/credit card
- Additional 12.36% service charge as Government Duty or Service Charge
- For Net Banking: Service Charge of Rs. 5/-
- For payment through Bank Counter (offline): Service Charge of Rs. 20/-
Exemptions:
- SC/ST candidates of West Bengal and PWD candidates with 40% or above physical disability are exempt from fees
- BC candidates of West Bengal must pay the usual fee
- No fee exemption for SC/ST/BC candidates from other states
