Eligibility Criteria for UPSC Drug Inspector 2026
Educational Qualification
- Master’s Degree in Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension, Agronomy, Entomology, Nematology, Genetics And Plant Breeding, Agriculture Botany, Plant Bio Technology, Plant Pathology, Plant Physiology, Seeds Science and Technology, or Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry from a recognized university or institute. OR Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering from a recognized University or institute.
- Three years’ experience in the area of production, productivity, planning, development, or Extension in food or cash crops namely oilseeds, Jute, Cotton, Sugarcane, Pulses, Wheat, Coarse Cereals, or Rice in a government or semi-government organization, public sector undertaking, autonomous body, or recognized research Institute or agricultural University.
- Desirable Qualification:
- Doctorate in the fields or subjects as prescribed in essential qualifications above
- Five years’ experience in writing technical reports of the above crops
- Two years of Administrative experience.
Age Limit (as on 01/07/2027)
- 40 years for UR and 45 years for ST.
