UPSC CGPDTM Examiner Recruitment 2025-26: 102 Vacancies Announced
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially opened applications for 102 positions under the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks (CGPDTM). This recruitment drive falls under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and is notified through Advertisement No. 14/2025.

The recruitment includes:
- Examiner of Trade Marks and Geographical Indications: 100 posts
- Deputy Director (Examination Reforms): 2 posts
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
For Examiner of Trade Marks & GI:
- Must hold a Law degree from a recognized university
- Minimum 2 years of experience handling court cases and other legal matters related to trademarks and geographical indications
For Deputy Director (Examination Reforms):
- Must have completed PhD in Humanities, Science, Commerce, Engineering/Technology, Law, Management, Finance, or Accounts from a recognized university
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in teaching at degree level, research, preparation of teaching-learning materials, curriculum development, educational testing, examination reforms, or development and administration of online examinations
Age Limit
As of 1 January 2026:
- Minimum age: 21 years
- Maximum age: 35 years

- Female/SC/ST/PwBD: Exempted
Selection Process
The selection process consists of only an interview round. Candidates who meet all eligibility criteria will be shortlisted and called for interviews. Applicants must carry a printed copy of their application form along with original documents and self-attested photocopies. Additional items or certificates specified in the Interview Summon Letter must be ready for verification.
