UPSC CAPF 2023 Notification Released
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has just released the notification for the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Assistant Commandants Examination 2023. Interested candidates can fill up the UPSC CAPF(ACs) application form by visiting the official websites at upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in. Make sure you meet all eligibility conditions before applying. The last date to submit your application is May 16, 2023.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India, or from other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared as deemed universities under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification.
Age Limit
You must have attained the age of 20 years and not exceeded 25 years as of August 1, 2023. This means you should have been born between August 2, 1998, and August 1, 2003.
Application Fee
All candidates except Female/SC/ST candidates (who are exempted) need to pay a fee of Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only). You can pay through any Branch of State Bank of India, or using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment, or Internet Banking of any Bank. If you choose “Pay by Cash” mode, print the system-generated Pay-in-slip during Part II registration and deposit the fee at the SBI Branch counter on the next working day only. Note that “Pay by Cash” mode will be deactivated at 23:59 hours on May 15, 2023. Applicants who generated their Pay-in-Slip before deactivation can still pay at the SBI Branch during banking hours on the closing date. If you’re unable to pay by cash on May 16, 2023, you must use online Debit/Credit Card/UPI Payment or Internet Banking by 18:00 hours.

- Physical test
- Interview

- Click on the CAPF AC 2023 Notification
- Click the Apply Online button
- Click on the New Registration button
- Fill in all basic details in the registration form
- Complete Part I of the application form
- Pay the fee in Part II
- Save the application form for future reference

CAPF Stage I: CAPF Exam Pattern 2023
- Paper I & II will be in bilingual language – Hindi & English, excluding English paper
- Paper I duration: 2 hours, Paper II duration: 3 hours
- Paper I consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) with negative marking of 1/3rd marks for each wrong answer
- Paper II is a descriptive format paper including Precis Writing, Comprehension Components, and other communication/language skills in English only
- Questions in Paper II will be of Objective (Multiple Answers) Type in English and Hindi
- Paper 1: 10 a.m. to 12.00 Noon, Paper 2: 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.
- Paper-I is a qualifying stage; Paper-II will only be checked for candidates who clear Paper I
- Paper I – General and Mental Ability: 2 hours, 250 marks
- Paper II – General Studies, Essay and Comprehension: 3 hours, 200 marks
CAPF Stage II: Physical Efficiency Tests (PET)
- 100 Meters race – 16 Seconds (Male) | 18 seconds (Female)
- 800 Meters race – 3 minutes 45 seconds (Male) | 4 minutes 45 seconds (Female)
- Long Jump – 3.5 Meters (3 chances) (Male) | 3.0 meters (3 chances) (Female)
- Shot Put (7.26 Kgs) – 4.5 Meters
CAPF Stage III: Interview/Personality Test
- Candidates who pass the second stage will be called for interview/personality test worth 150 marks
- The test will be conducted at UPSC premises in New Delhi
- Final results will be declared after the interview/personality test

- Paper 1 Syllabus:
- General Mental Ability: Tests logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude including numerical ability, and data interpretation
- General Science: Tests general awareness, scientific temper, comprehension and appreciation of scientific phenomena of everyday observation including new areas like Information Technology, Biotechnology, Environmental Science
- Current Events of National and International Importance: Tests awareness of current events in culture, music, arts, literature, sports, governance, societal and developmental issues, industry, business, globalisation, and interplay among nations
- Indian Polity and Economy: Tests knowledge of the Country’s political system and the Constitution of India, social systems and public administration
