Punjab Police Recruitment 2016: 7416 Constable Posts Open
The Government of Punjab, Punjab Police Department has invited applications from Indian Nationals for direct recruitment to 7416 posts of Male and Female Constables in the District Police Cadre and Armed Police Cadre. The probation period is 03 years.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: The minimum Educational qualifications shall be 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Education Board/University, and the candidate must have passed Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi language.
Age Limit
18 to 28 years (as on 01/01/2016)
Application Fee
- Rs 400 for General candidates
- Rs 100 for ST/SC/BC candidates
- No fee for Ex-Servicemen
Payment through online mode using net banking or debit/Credit card.

Height:
- Male: 5 feet 7 Inches
- Female: 5 Feet 3 Inches
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on their performance in Written Examination, Physically Efficiency Test, and Medical test.
Physical Efficiency Test
Male Candidates:
- Race: 1600 Meters in 6 minutes 30 Seconds
- Long Jump: 3:80 Meter
- High Jump: 1:10 Meters in 03 Chances
Female Candidates:
- Race: 800 Meters in 4 minutes
- Long Jump: 3:00 Meter in 03 Chances
- High Jump: 0:95 Meters in 03 Chances
Ex Servicemen:
- Race: 1400 Meters in 9 minutes
