MPEDA Recruitment 2016 – 71 Posts Available
The Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) has published a notification for recruitment for Jr. Laboratory Analyst, Field Supervisor, Jr. Clerk, Electrical Operator and Multitasking Assistant (Field Assistant) posts.

The recruitment drive includes 71 positions across various departments.
Posts and Educational Qualifications
- Jr. Laboratory Analyst: 10 Posts
- Bachelor Degree In Chemistry or Fisheries or Bachelor Degree with Chemistry as a subject with 3 years experience In a laboratory undertaking chemical analysis of seafood food Items, feed or raw material for these products.
- Field Supervisor: 09 Posts
- Bachelor Degree In Mariculture / Aquaculture/ Fishery Science / Zoology/ Marine Biology / Ocean Life Science / Industrial Fisheries with three years experience In Aquaculture. Desirable – Post Graduate In Mariculture / Aquaculture, Experience In Aquaculture or Aquaculture Research.
- Jr. Clerk: 10 Posts
- Bachelor Degree with Computer proficiency In Word Processing with a speed of 9,000 Key depression per hour and Spread sheet (Excel) from a recognized Board of Technical Education. Desirable – A speed of 30 w.p.m In English Typewriting.
- Electrical Operator: 01 Post
- SSLC and ITI Electrical Trade Certificate with 3years experience In repairing and maintenance of electrical Installations after qualifying (OR) Diploma In electrical Engineering with 1 year experience in repairing and maintenance of electrical Installations after qualifying.
- Multitasking Assistant (Field Assistant): 15 Posts
- 10th Standard (Matriculation) pass with 2 years experience in Aquaculture.
Age Limit
Not more than 28 year (as on 31/03/2016)
Application Fee
Rs. 250/- (non-refundable) in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Secretary, MPEDAT payable at Ernakulam should be sent along with the print out of online application. No application fee is required In the case of SC/ ST/ PH/ Ex-Servicemen candidates and employees of MPEDA and its Societies.
Selection Process
- Junior Clerk: The written test will be for 100 marks. In addition, there will be speed test for type writing and this will carry 25 marks (Total 125 marks).
Those who get 50% in each category will be qualified. However, the cut off marks for the inclusion in the rank list for further selection process will be decided based on the number of candidates/vacancies. In other words, mere getting 50% need not be the criteria for inclusion of a candidate in the further selection process. - Field Supervisor: There will be one paper with a maximum marks of 100. The Question paper will have two parts. Part I will be on English, Mathematics and General Knowledge carrying 50 marks. Part II will be subject specific.
Those who get a minimum of 50% each in Part I and Part II will be qualified. However, the minimum mark for the inclusion in the rank list for further selection process will be fixed based on the number of candidate/vacancies. In other words, mere getting 50% need not be the criteria for inclusion of a candidate in the further selection process.
