Educational Qualifications

Selection Process
The commission will use different selection methods depending on the post:
- For Typist and Stenographer positions: Typing Speed, English Composition, and Stenography Test
- Some posts: Screening Test followed by Personal Interview
- Others: Written examination followed by Personal Interview
- Some positions: Preliminary Screening Test, Main Examination, and Personal Interview
- Certain posts: Personal Interview only
- Physical positions: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) conducted by a Medical Board
Application Fee
You’ll need to pay the prescribed fee when submitting your application. The commission has introduced State Bank Collect for online payments. You can pay through Credit Card, Debit Card, ATM Card, or Cash using the Challan generated from the State Bank Collect portal. Make sure to attach the original copy of the Fee Challan with your application.
How to Apply
Online Mode
Visit the MPSC website at www.mpsc.nic.in. Read the instructions carefully before applying online. You can pay the application fee through State Bank Collect using various payment methods.
Offline Mode
Submit your completed application at the MPSC Office Counter in Shillong. You can also submit at MPSC Cells in Tura, Nongstoin, Jowai, Baghmara, Williamnagar, and Nongpoh between 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Alternatively, send your application by registered post to reach the Commission’s office in Shillong before the last date.
