ISRO Recruitment 2017
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has released a new notification for Scientist Engineer positions. These roles are available in Electronics, Mechanical and Computer Science fields.
Job Details
The Organisation has shared most vacancy information in the official ISRO Notification 2017. ISRO is looking for skilled professionals with relevant expertise to fill these Central Government positions through ISRO Recruitment 2017.
Available Positions
- Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (Electronics): 42 Posts
- Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (Mechanical): 36 Posts
- Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (Computer Science): 09 Posts
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have completed BE/B.Tech or equivalent qualification with at least 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10. AMIE/Grad IETE candidates need 65% marks or CGPA 6.84 in Section ‘B’ alone. Students completing their course in 2016-17 can apply if they have their final degree by 31/8/2017.
The age limit is 35 years as of 07.03.2017. Applicants must meet these criteria to register for ISRO Recruitment 2017.
Application Fee
The application fee is Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only) per application. Payment can be made online through Internet Banking/Debit Card or offline at the nearest SBI Branch.
Selection Process
Initial screening will be conducted based on academic performance and bio-data to shortlist candidates for the written test. The test consists of 90 objective questions carrying equal marks.
Based on written test performance, candidates will be shortlisted for interviews. The written test serves only as a screening level, and scores won’t be considered in final selection. Final selection depends on interview performance, with candidates securing minimum 60% marks eligible for empanelment.
Exam Centers
The written test will be held at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram.
How to Apply
Interested and eligible candidates can apply online at www.isro.gov.in between 15.02.2017 and 07.03.2017. Applications are accepted online only. After registration, candidates receive an online Registration Number to preserve for future reference. Applicants must provide their email ID compulsorily.
Employed candidates must submit a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from their employer, indicating name and Registration Number on the reverse side.
