Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have BA/B.Com/B.Sc/BE/B.Tech with Mathematics. Additionally, candidates should have passed 12th Class (10+2) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects from a Recognized Board/University.
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 20 to 25 years as on 01/10/2016. This means candidates should be born between 01/10/1991 to 30/09/1996.
Physical Standards
Minimum physical standards vary by region. Candidates should contact the nearest HQ Recruiting Zone, Army Recruitment Office, or IRO, Delhi Cantt for specific details.
Physical Fitness Requirements
- 1.6 Km Run – Must be completed in 6 minutes and 20 seconds
- Pull Ups (Beam) – Minimum 6 pull ups
- Zig Zag Balance – Must qualify
- 9 Feet Ditch – Must qualify
Medical Standards
Candidates must have a robust physique and good mental health. The chest should be well developed with minimum 5 cm expansion. Normal hearing in each ear is required. Candidates should have sufficient natural teeth (14 dental points). Medical conditions like deformity of bones, hydrocele, varicose veins or piles are not acceptable. Remustering candidates must be in medical category SHAPE-1 as per Special Army Order 6/S/2005/Rtg dated 05 Aug 2005.
Recruitment Process
Screening: 25-29 Jul 2016 at BEG and Centre, Roorkee
Physical Fitness Test: As mentioned above
Written Examination: 31 Jul 2016 at BEG and Centre, Roorkee (only for candidates who clear screening)
Medical Examination: 07 Aug 2016 to 08 Aug 2016
