Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Project Associate (Electrical Engineering): Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Biomedical / Biological / Biotechnology Engineering / Science, or related fields, from recognized institutions/universities with a good academic track record and publications. Candidates with a demonstrated track record in ultrasound or related areas will be given preference. Candidates who have submitted their thesis are also eligible. Previous experience with ultrasound instrumentation is desirable, but not essential.
Post-Doctoral Fellow (Mathematics): The successful candidate will have:
- A Ph.D. in a relevant subject, such as applied mathematics, engineering, or physics (must be completed or have submitted Ph.D. thesis)
- Expertise in mathematical modeling and scientific computing, theory and numeric of PDEs, perturbation theory, low Reynolds number flow.
Selection Process
Eligible candidates shortlisted based on the submitted online application will have to appear for the selection process conducted at IITGN premises. The shortlisted candidates shall be contacted by the IMS Team. Depending on the number of applications received, assessment test (MCQ) followed by Practical 90 Mins test.

- CV containing scholastic and publication record
- Cover Letter stating a potential starting date and why you are adequately suited for this position
- 1-page document describing previous research accomplishments and long-term goals
- contact details of at least 2 references
Post-Doctoral Fellow: Application may be sent to Prof. Satyajit Pramanik at satyajit.pramanik@iitgn.ac.in. Each applicant should include a single PDF file containing:
- A complete CV with the details of all educational qualifications, research experiences, publications, and names of two referees including the Ph.D. thesis advisor and the current employer
- Brief summary of doctoral research and the most recent research (max 1 page)
- Future research plans (max 2 pages) and mention “Application for Postdoctoral Fellowship in Applied Mathematics 2022” as the subject of the email
