Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must meet one of these qualifications:
- Three-year full-time regular BSc degree in Fire & Safety with minimum 60% marks for General/OBC candidates and 55% for SC/ST candidates from UGC recognized universities. The degree must have been passed in 2018 or later.
- ITI (Fire) or equivalent one-year or six-month course approved by State/Central Government with minimum 60% marks for General/OBC candidates and 55% for SC/ST candidates. Passed in 2018 or later.
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 18 and 28 years as of 01st April 2021.
Selection Process
The selection process varies based on qualifications:
- For BSc (Fire & Safety): Physical Fitness, Online Test, and Interview
- For ITI (Fire) or equivalent: Physical Fitness, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Online Test, and Interview
Physical Standards & Eye Vision
Both qualifications require:
- Minimum Height: 165 Cm, Weight: 50 Kg, Chest: 81 Cm (Normal) and 86 Cm (Expanded)
- Concession of 2.5 CM in height allowed for SC/ST candidates from hilly areas
- Vision: 6/6 without wearing glasses or another aid
- Night blindness/Colour blindness is a disqualification
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for ITI Candidates
ITI candidates must pass:
- 100 meters race with 50 Kgs of Sand bag
- Climbing on rope up to 12 feet with hands and feet
- Carrying a man of 63 Kg. weight to a distance of 183 Mtrs. in 96 seconds
