IB Recruitment 2023: 1675 Vacancies Open for Security Assistant and MTS Posts
The Ministry of Home Affairs, Intelligence Bureau (IB) is calling for applications from Indian nationals for direct recruitment to two important positions. You can apply online for Security Assistant/Executive (SA/Exe) and Multi-tasking Staff/General (MTS/Gen) posts.

- Total Vacancies: 1675
- Security Assistant/Executive (SA/Exe): 1525
- Multi-tasking Staff/General (MTS/Gen): 150
What Are the Eligibility Requirements?
Educational Qualification
You need to have passed Matriculation (10th class) or equivalent from a recognized Board of Education. You must also possess a domicile certificate of the state you’re applying for. Knowledge of any one of the local languages/dialects mentioned in Table ‘A’ against each SIB is required.
Age Limit
For Security Assistant/Executive posts, the maximum age is 27 years. For MTS posts, the age limit is 18-25 years.
Application Fee
Male candidates from General, EWS and OBC categories need to pay Rs. 50/- as Examination Fee plus Rs. 450/- as Recruitment Processing Charges. All other candidates need to pay only Rs. 450/- as Recruitment Processing Charges.
How Will Selection Work?
The selection process involves three stages:
- Tier-I: An online MCQ-based exam lasting 1 hour
- Tier-II: Offline descriptive exam for both positions, plus a spoken test for SA/Exe designation
- Tier-III: Interview or personality test
