GSET 2023 Notification: Gujarat SET Exam for Assistant Professor
The Gujarat State Eligibility Test (GSET) 2023 is officially announced for Assistant Professor positions. The Thirteenth Gujarat SET will be conducted on Sunday, 26th November 2023 at six centers: Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat, Patan, and Bhavnagar in 23 subjects.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree recognized by UGC in a GSET subject. You need at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in your Master’s Degree for General candidates. Reserved category candidates (SEBC Non-Creamy Layer, SC, ST, PwD) require 50% marks.
- Age Limit: No upper age limit
- Education: Master’s Degree with minimum 55% marks (50% for reserved categories)
- Language: Questions available in both Gujarati and English
Application Fees
- General/EWS/SEBC: Rs. 900/- + Bank Charges
- SC/ST/Transgender: Rs. 700/- + Bank Charges
- PWD (PH/VH): Rs. 100/- + Bank Charges
Exam Pattern
The exam consists of two objective-type papers:
- Paper I: 50 questions, 100 marks, 1 hour
- Paper II: 100 questions, 200 marks, 2 hours
Paper I tests general aptitude, reasoning, comprehension, and awareness. Paper II focuses on your chosen subject. Both papers are compulsory with no negative marking.
