Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Law degree from any Indian university or institution recognized by the University Grants Commission
- Students in their fifth year of a five-year law course can apply, but final selection depends on passing the fifth year LL.B. examination before appointment
- Basic computer application knowledge
- Familiarity with vernacular languages
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 18 to 35 years old.

Selection Process
The selection process involves two stages with a weighted scoring system.
Written Test
- Format: Objective type MCQs, OMR based
- Duration: 2 hours
- Total Marks: 100
- Questions: 100 MCQs (1 mark each)
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for wrong answers
- Minimum qualifying marks: 50%

The written test will be conducted in English at Ahmedabad venue. The High Court reserves the right to limit the number of candidates proceeding to the next stage if too many qualify.
Viva-voce Test
- Marks: 40
- Candidates must download their e-Call-letter from the website one week before the test
- Assessment based on: Personality, Aptitude, Computer skills, People skills, Communication skills, Legal knowledge
- Minimum qualifying marks: 40%
