GPSC Recruitment Postponed Due to EBC Quota Rejection
The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has announced a significant development regarding several key recruitment drives. The Commission has decided to postpone recruitment for Account Officer (Municipal Corporation), District Youth Development Officer, and Assistant Professor positions in Commerce, Science & Arts streams.
Reason for Postponement
This postponement comes after the High Court of Gujarat rejected the EBC (Economically Backward Class) quota. The affected recruitment drives were originally scheduled as part of GPSC’s Calendar for year 2016.
Affected Positions
- Account Officer (Municipal Corporation)
- District Youth Development Officer
- Assistant Professor (various streams)
The GPSC has clarified that notifications for these recruitments will be announced only after the EBC matter is cleared.
