Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from any University established or incorporated by or under Central or State Act in India, or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. Additionally, candidates need basic knowledge of Computer Application as prescribed in Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules 1967, and possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati and/or Hindi.

Age Limit

Candidates must have attained the age of 20 years and must not have attained the age of 35 years as on 01/10/2018.

The final selection will be based on two stages:

  1. Preliminary Exam
  2. Main Exam

Preliminary Exam

  • Exam Mode: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
  • Total Marks: 200
  • Duration: 120 Minutes
  • Subject: General Studies

Main Exam

  • Exam Type: Descriptive Exam
  • Total Marks: 400
  • Total Papers: 4
  • Paper 1: Gujarati Language – 100 Marks (180 Minutes)
  • Paper 2: English Language – 100 Marks (180 Minutes)
  • Paper 3: General Studies 1 – 100 Marks (180 Minutes)
  • Paper 4: General Studies 2 – 100 Marks (180 Minutes)
