Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT) has released an official notification for recruitment of Graduate/Diploma/Trade Apprentice posts. Eligible candidates can apply for this recruitment. Here are the complete details including number of posts, post names, educational qualifications, age limits, selection process, and application procedure.
Job Details
FACT is offering a total of 179 positions across three categories:
- Graduate Apprentice: 24 Posts
- Technician (Diploma) Apprentice: 57 Posts
- Trade Apprentice: 98 Posts
Educational Qualification
Graduate Apprentice:
- Qualification: Engineering Degree (B Tech/BE UGC/AICTE recognized regular course) in any of the following disciplines: Computer, Computer Science and Engineering, Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, Applied Electronics & Instrumentation, Electronics & Instrumentation
- Eligibility: Engineering Degree with minimum 60% marks for General category and 50% for SC/ST in the relevant discipline. Should not have completed more than 3 years after passing Degree as on 31.03.2022
- Note: BOAT Southern Region Registered KERALA Candidates are only eligible to apply
Technician (Diploma) Apprentice:
- Qualification: Three-year Diploma in Engineering in any of the following disciplines (State Board of Technical Education recognized regular course): Chemical, Computer, Civil, Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Instrumentation, Electronics & Instrumentation, Instrument Technology, Mechanical, Commercial Practice
- Eligibility: Diploma with minimum 60% marks for General category and 50% for SC/ST category in the relevant discipline. Should not have completed more than 3 years after passing Diploma as on 31-03-2022
- Note: BOAT Southern Region Registered KERALA Candidates are only eligible to apply
Trade Apprentice:
- Qualification: National Trade Certificate in Fitter, Machinist, Electrician, Plumber, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Instrument Mechanic, Painter, Welder (Gas & Electric), Carpenter, Mechanic (Diesel), COPA/Front Office Assistant
- Eligibility: 60% marks in the relevant ITI/ITC Trade (NCVT approved); 50% marks for SC/ST. Applicants domiciled in Kerala will be considered
Age Limit
- Graduate Apprentice: Age not more than 25 years for general candidates as on 01-01-2022
- Diploma Apprentice: Age not more than 23 years for general candidates as on 01-01-2022
- Trade Apprentice: Age not more than 23 years as on 01.01.2022
Selection Process
The merit list for selection will be prepared based on marks obtained in Qualifying Examination with the following weightage:
- Graduate: 50% marks in Qualifying Examination and 50% marks in Plus Two
- Diploma: 50% marks in Qualifying Examination
In case of tie marks, the marks of the immediately preceding qualifying examination will be considered. For further ties, priority will be given to marks obtained in the order of Maths, Physics & Chemistry in 12th standard examination for Graduate candidates and Maths & Science in 10th standard examination for Diploma candidates.
