DGVCL Vidyut Sahayak (Jr. Assistant) Recruitment 2016
Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited (DGVCL) has released a notification for recruitment of Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Assistant) posts. The organization is looking for qualified candidates to fill a total of 31 positions.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must be graduates with B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., B.B.A., or B.C.A. degrees from UGC recognized universities. The graduation should be completed in the first attempt without ATKT. For the semester system, there should be no ATKT in the last two semesters (5th and 6th). Minimum percentage requirements are:
- 60% in final year for General Category (UR) and PH candidates
- 55% in final year for SC, ST, and SEBC candidates
Age Limit
The maximum age limit is 30 years as of 21/04/2016.
Remuneration
The fixed remuneration structure is:
- First year: Rs. 7,800 per month
- Second year: Rs. 8,250 per month
- Third year: Rs. 9,300 per month
No other allowance or benefits are admissible except coverage under Personal Accident Policy as per GSO.332 dated 03-02-03.
Selection Process
Selection will be based on a written test.
Written Test Syllabus
The question paper will comprise 100% objective type questions in English and Gujarati languages. The assessment areas and weightage are:
- Mathematical ability: Higher Secondary General stream level – 25% weightage
- English Language ability: Grammatical, spelling, sentence construction – 25% weightage
- Computer Knowledge: MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint) – 30% weightage
- General knowledge: Graduation level – 20% weightage
English Language ability will be tested only in English.
Application Fee
The application fee structure is:
- UR/SEBC/PH category: Rs. 500 (non-refundable)
- SC/ST category: Rs. 250 (non-refundable)
Payment should be made in any branch of State Bank of India to ‘Power Jyoti’ Account No: 33265984351. Bank charges, if any, must be paid by the applicant over and above the application fee. Candidates must submit the fee challan with their application. The triplicate challan can be downloaded from the website.

After online submission, send the printout of the application along with required documents, super-scribing the envelope with “Application for the post of Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Assistant) & Registration No: “. The envelope should be sent by RPAD or Speed post only.
