Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- For skilled trades (Barber, Boot Maker/Cobbler, Tailor, Cook, Mason, Mali, Painter, Plumber, Washer Man, Welder): Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board
- ITI trained personnel will be preferred for skilled trades
- For unskilled trades (Sweeper): Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board
- Candidates with qualifications from State Board/Central Board must provide government notifications declaring equivalence to Matriculation/10th class
Age Limit
- Between 18 to 23 years as on 01.08.2022
- Born between 02/08/1999 and 01/08/2004
Application Fee
- Rs.100/- for UR, OBC and EWS candidates
- Exempted for female candidates, SC, ST, and Ex-servicemen
Selection Process
The selection process involves 4-5 stages:
- Physical Test
- Written Exam (CBT)
- Document Verification
- Medical Examination
- Joining
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Male candidates: 1.6 Kms race in 6 minutes 30 seconds
- Female candidates: 800 mtrs in 4 minutes

- Unexpanded: 80 cm (76 cm for ST)

Exam Pattern
- 100 marks, 2 hours duration
- 100 objective-type questions
- Subjects: General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, Analytical Aptitude, Pattern Recognition, Hindi/English
- Questions in bilingual (English/Hindi)
- No negative marking
- Qualifying marks:
- UR/EWS/Ex-servicemen: 35%
- SC/ST/OBC: 33%
Trade Test Details
- Cook: Cooking of Chapati & Rice, Cooking of Meat/Fish/Egg/Kheer, Cooking of vegetables/Dal/Samber/Idli
- Boot Maker/Cobbler: Polishing shoes, Handling tools, Cutting leather, Repair and stitching of shoes
- Tailor: Taking measurements, Cutting clothes, Stitching uniforms
- Barber: Handling tools, Hair cutting and shaving
- Washer Man: Washing clothes, Ironing Khaki Cotton Uniform, Ironing woolen and Terry cotton Uniforms
- Sweeper: Sweeping, Cleaning toilets and bathrooms
- Painter: Knowledge of colors, paints and shades, Painting sign-boards and drawing
- Mason: Preparation of ‘Mashala’, Mason/Construction work, Plastering work, Laying floor tiles & plastering floor
- Plumber: Laying pipeline, Repair of water pipeline, Fitting taps, Geyser, Flush & Wash Basin
- Mali: Plantations and making grafts, Maintenance of plants, Knowledge of indigenous manures, Seeds & sowing season, Fertilizers
- Welder: Knowledge of welding tools, ARC Welding (Practical), Gas Welding (Practical)
