- General Category: Height 170cm, Chest minimum 80cm with 5cm expansion
- Hill Areas/Gorkhas/Dogras/Marathas/Sikkimies/Kashmir Valley/Leh & Ladakh: Height 165cm, Chest minimum 78cm with 5cm expansion
- Tribal/Adivasis (Mizos/Nagas): Height 162.5cm, Chest minimum 77cm with 5cm expansion
Weight must be proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.
