The Directorate General, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Ministry of Home Affairs is calling for applications from male Indian citizens for temporary positions of CONSTABLE (TRADESMEN). These roles span multiple trades including Barber, Boot Maker, Cook, Carpenter, Electrician, Mason, Mali, Painter, Sweeper, Plumber, and Washerman.

Eligibility

  • Educational Qualification:
  • For Direct candidates:
  • Candidates should have passed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board for skilled trades (Barber, Boot Maker, Cook, Carpenter, Electrician, Mason, Mali, Painter, Plumber, Washerman). Industrial Training Institute trained personnel will be preferred.
  • Candidates should have passed Matriculation or equivalent for unskilled trades (Sweeper).
  • Educational certificates other than State Board/Central Board must be accompanied with Government of India notifications declaring equivalence to Matric/10th class.
  • Age limit: 18 to 23 years
  • Application Fee: Rs.100/- for General (UR)/OBC category. SC/ST candidates are exempted from fee payment.
  • Selection Process

    • Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), Documentation & Trade Test
    • Trade test (practical assessment in objective and subjective modes, qualifying nature)
    • Written Examination (date to be fixed later, visit https://cisfrectt.in for updates)
    • Final merit list drawl
    • Medical examination and Review Medical Examination

    Physical Standards

    • For General, SC and OBC candidates:
    • Height: 170 Cms
    • Chest: Minimum 80 Cms with minimum expansion of 05 Cms (80-85)
    • Relaxed standard for:
    • Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates from Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Ladakh regions (with certificate as per Annexure VI)
    • Height: 165 Cms
    • Chest: Minimum 78 Cms with minimum expansion of 05 Cms (78-83)
    • All Scheduled Tribes candidates:
    • Height: 162.5 Cms
    • Chest: Minimum 76 Cms with minimum expansion of 05 Cms (76-81)

    Medical Standards

    • Eye Sight: Minimum distant vision 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes without correction
    • Physical condition: No knock knee, flat foot, varicose veins, squint in eyes. Must be in good mental and bodily health
    • Tattoos: Religious symbols and figures permitted. Allowed on traditional sites like inner aspect of left forearm or dorsum of hands. Size must be less than ¼ of the particular body part

    Written Exam

    The written test consists of 100 marks with 100 objective type multiple choice questions.
