CBSE UGC NET JRF Examination January 2017
CSIR – University Grants Commission (UGC) has released the notification for National Eligibility Test (NET) January 2017. This exam opens doors to both Junior Research Fellow positions and Eligibility for Lectureship.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree or equivalent qualification from universities or institutions recognized by UGC. Refer to the official notification for complete details.
Age Limit
The maximum age limit is 28 years as of 01/01/2017.
Examination Fee
Fee structure varies by category:
- General: Rs.600/-
- Other Backward Classes: Rs.300/-
- SC/ST/PwD: Rs.150/-
Application Process
Candidates must apply online only through the CBSE website. No offline applications will be accepted.

- Submission of online application form: 17/10/2016
- Last date for applying online: 16/11/2016
- Last date for fee payment: 17/11/2016 (through online bank challan at Syndicate/Canara/ICICI/HDFC Bank branches or via credit/debit card)
- Correction in particulars: 22nd to 29th November, 2016
- Admit card upload: 21/12/2016
- Date of Examination: 22/01/2017
