Who Can Apply? Eligibility Details
Nationality Requirements
You’re eligible if you’re either:
- An Indian citizen
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962
- A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Vietnam) with permanent settlement intent
Remember: If you fall into categories 2-5 above, you’ll need a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India.
Educational Qualifications
You need a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Here’s the catch – you must have completed your graduation on or after January 1, 2022. Keep your marksheets and certificates ready!
Age Limit
You should be between 20 and 28 years old. Specifically, you must be born between May 31, 1998, and May 31, 2006. Age relaxations apply for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates as per government guidelines.
Application Fees
Pay your application fee online (including 18% GST):
- General/OBC/EWS (Male): ₹944
- General/OBC/EWS (Female): ₹708
- SC/ST (All): ₹236
- PwBD & Transgender (All): ₹236
How to Get Selected
The selection process has four stages:
- Online Written Exam
- Language Proficiency Test
- Medical Examination
- Document Verification
Exam Pattern
The written test is straightforward:
- 100 objective questions worth 100 marks
- 60 minutes to complete
- No negative marking
- Questions cover five subjects:
• General/Financial Awareness (20 questions, 20 marks)
• Quantitative & Reasoning Aptitude (20 questions, 20 marks)
• Computer Knowledge (20 questions, 20 marks)
• General English (20 questions, 20 marks)
• CBI Products & Services (20 questions, 20 marks)
