Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
- Constable Crew: Class 10 pass with 1 year experience in operating boats below 265 HP and swimming skills
- Head Constable Master: Class 10 pass with Serang Certificate
- Head Constable Engine Driver: Class 10 pass with Second Class Engine Driver Certificate
- Head Constable Workshop: Class 10 pass with ITI/NCVT certificate in related trade (Mechanic Diesel/Petrol Engine/Workshop Electrician/Workshop AC Technician/Workshop Electronics/Workshop Machinist/Workshop Carpenter/Workshop Plumber)
- Sub Inspector (Master): 10+2 pass with 2nd Class Master Certificate from Central/State Inland Water Transport Authority or Mercantile Marine Department
- Sub Inspector (Engine Driver): 10+2 pass with 1st Class Engine Driver Certificate from Central/State Inland Water Transport Authority or Mercantile Marine Department
- Sub Inspector (Workshop): Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or 3-year Diploma in Mechanical/Marine/Automobile Engineering
Age Limit
- Sub Inspector: 22 to 28 years
- Head Constable: 20 to 25 years
- Constable: 20 to 25 years
Application Fee
- General/OBC/EWS (Group B Posts): Rs. 200/-
- General/OBC/EWS (Group C Posts): Rs. 100/-
- SC/ST/ESM/BSF Employee: No fee
Selection Process
The recruitment process includes multiple stages:
- Written Examination
- Skill Test
- Physical Efficiency and Measurement Test (PE&MT)
- Trade Test
- Document Verification
- Medical Examination

- Chest: 75-80 CMS (Male) | 73-78 CMS (Female)
- 1 Mile Race: 08 Minutes
- High Jump: 3 Feet 6 Inch
