Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

Assistant Editor: Candidates need a Degree from a recognized university along with a Degree or Diploma in Librarianship or equivalent qualifications. Five years of practical experience in a responsible capacity in a Library of standing and Proficiency in Oriya Language are required.

Assistant Director: Candidates should have a qualification recognized for enrolment in the Register of Members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.

Economic Officer: Master's Degree in Economics or Applied Economics or Business Economics or Econometrics from a recognized University. Two years of experience in conducting economic investigation or research from recognized Research Institutes in India, University or Deemed University and Central or State Government.

Administrative Officer: Degree from a recognized university with Two years of experience in Administration, Accounts and Establishment work in Government office or in a public body.

Mechanical Marine Engineer: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering or Automobile Engineering with Five years experience in operation, maintenance, troubleshooting of marine diesel engines, auxiliaries, ship board marine mechanical equipments.

Lecturer: Masters' Degree in Occupational Therapy with Two years of Teaching experience in Occupational Therapy from an institute recognized by the Central or State Government or an autonomous body under the Central or State Government or a University.

Age Limit

The age limits vary by post: Assistant Editor and Assistant Director – 30 years; Economic Officer, Lecturer, Scientist, Chemist, Junior Mining, Research Officer, Administrative Officer – 35 years; Mechanical Marine Engineer – 40 years; Assistant Professor – 45 to 50 years. Age relaxations are available for SC/ST candidates up to 5 years and up to 3 years for OBC candidates.

Selection Process

  • The category-wise minimum level of suitability in interviews is UR/EWS-50 marks, OBC-45 marks, SC/ST/PwBD-40 marks out of total interview marks being 100.
  • In cases where selection is made by Recruitment Test followed by interview, candidates must achieve minimum level of suitability at the Interview stage.
