UPSC Recruitment 2022: 33 Posts Open for Application
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced a major recruitment drive for 2022. They’re looking for talented individuals to fill 33 positions across various roles. Eligibility Criteria
For Assistant Professor Position
You’ll need a strong academic background with at least 55% marks at the Master’s level in History from an Indian University or equivalent from an accredited foreign university. Additionally, you must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR or similar tests like SLET/SET. If you have a PhD degree awarded according to UGC regulations 2009, you’re exempt from NET/SLET/SET requirements.
For Stores Officer Position
You need a degree from a recognized university plus three years of experience in a Government or semi-Government organization, or in a reputable private company dealing with indenting, purchases, maintenance of technical stores, or accounts.
For Assistant Mineral Economist Position
Requirements include a Master’s Degree in Applied Geology, Geology, Economics, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized University or Institute. You’ll also need three years of experience in mineral economics.
For Assistant Professor (Ayurveda) Position
You must have a degree in Ayurveda Medicine from a University established by law or statutory board/faculty/examining body of Indian Medicine, or equivalent as recognized under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act 1970. A post-graduate degree in your subject/specialty is also required.
Application Fee
The application fee is Rs. 25 only. You can pay this through cash at any SBI branch, net banking, or using your Visa/Master credit/debit card. Good news for some candidates – SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates don’t need to pay any fee. However, Gen/OBC/EWS male candidates must pay the full prescribed fee. No fee exemption is available for them.
Selection Process
The selection process is straightforward – candidates will be shortlisted based on interviews. Those selected for interviews must send self-attested copies of their documents and relevant certificates. The category-wise minimum marks required in interviews are:
- UR/EWS: 50 marks
- OBC: 45 marks
- SC/ST/PwBD: 40 marks
These marks are out of 100 total interview marks.
