UPSC Engineering Services Examination 2017: Complete Recruitment Details
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released the notification for the Engineering Services Examination (IES), 2017. This recruitment drive offers excellent opportunities for qualified engineers across various disciplines.
Available Positions
UPSC is recruiting for approximately 440 posts, including 17 positions reserved for Persons with Disabilities (LDCP-12 & HI-05).

Educational Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
- Engineering degree from a University incorporated by Central or State Legislature in India
- Sections A and B of Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India)
- Engineering degree/diploma from foreign universities recognized by the Government
- Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India)
- Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III/Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India
- Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London (held after November 1959)
- For specific posts: M.Sc. degree with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 21 to 30 years as of 01/01/2017.
Application Fee
The application fee is Rs.200 (Rupees Two hundred only). Female candidates, SC/ST candidates, and Persons with Disabilities are exempted from paying the fee.
Selection Process
Final selection will be based on a written examination.
