The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced recruitment for 323 posts under the Central Armed Police Forces (ACs) Examination 2019. This is a full-time position based in India with a Bachelor’s degree as the minimum qualification.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India, or from institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared as deemed universities under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification.

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 20 and 25 years as of 1st August 2019. This means you should have been born not earlier than 2nd August 1994 and not later than 1st August 1999.

Application Fee

The application fee is Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only). Female, SC, and ST candidates are exempted from paying the fee. You can pay through State Bank of India branches or using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit cards or Internet Banking of SBI.

Selection Process

The selection process involves four stages:

  1. Stage I: Written Examination – Candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks to proceed
  2. Stage 2: Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests (PETs) and Medical Standards Tests – Different parameters for male and female candidates
  3. Stage 3: Interview/Personality Test – 150 marks. Selected candidates receive a Detailed Application Form (DAF) to fill force preferences
  4. Stage 4: Final Selection/Merit – Based on written test and interview performance

Written Exam Pattern

  • Mode: Written examination
  • Papers: Two papers
  • Type: Objective type questions
  • Medium: English and Hindi

Paper Details:

  • Part I: General Ability and Intelligence – 250 Marks & 2 hours
  • Part II: General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension – 200 Marks & 3 hours
