Tripura Public Service Commission Recruitment 2016
The Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) has announced a recruitment drive for 45 positions in Tripura Civil Services and Tripura Police Services. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates interested in serving the state government.
Available Positions
The recruitment includes the following posts:
- Tripura Civil Service (TCS Grade II): 30 Posts
- Tripura Police Service (TPS Grade II): 15 Posts
Educational Qualification
Candidates must hold a degree from a recognized university. Knowledge of Bengali, English, or Kokborok language is desirable.
Age Limit
The age limit is between 21 to 40 years as on 01/05/2016.
Pay Scale
The selected candidates will receive a salary of Rs. 15600/- to 39100/-, Pay Bank-4 with grade pay Rs. 5400/-.
Physical Fitness & Medical Examination
Candidates must be in good mental and physical health, free from any physical defects that might interfere with their duties. Those called for the personality test may need to undergo medical examination.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of three stages:
- Preliminary Examination (Multiple Choice type) – 200 marks
- Main Examination (Conventional type-written) – 800 marks
- Personality Test – 100 marks
Up to 10 times the number of posts (category-wise) will be selected for the Preliminary Examination based on merit, subject to minimum qualifying marks. Selected candidates will then proceed to the Main Examination, and those who clear it will appear for the Personality Test.
Recruitment Fee
General candidates need to pay Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred), while ST/SC/BPL card holders and Physically Handicapped candidates need to pay Rs. 150/- (Rupees One Hundred and Fifty).
The application form can be downloaded from the TPSC website. The fee should be paid to Account No. 31176521319 of the State Bank of India (core banking branches) in favor of the Secretary, Tripura Public Service Commission. The bank deposit receipt must be affixed to the application form.

Interested candidates should apply in the prescribed format along with 2 copies of recent passport-size photographs and a self-addressed postcard indicating the Advertisement No. and name of the post applied for. Send the application to:
