Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: 21 to 30 years (as on 01/07/2015)
Educational Qualification: Must possess Minimum General Educational Qualification viz. Must have passed S.S.L.C Public Examination or its equivalent with eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary Courses of Studies (or) to College Courses of studies.
Application Process
Eligible candidates may apply online through the website www.tnpscexams.net / www.tnpscexams.in. Candidates have to Register their basic particulars through One – Time Registration which is mandatory on payment of Rs.50/- towards registration fee.
Examination Pattern
The written examination will be conducted in objective type (OMR method). Two types of question papers will be set:
- Type-1: General Studies + General Tamil
- Type-2: General Studies + General English
Both types contain questions on General Studies (75 items), Basics of Village Administration (25 items), Aptitude & Mental Ability Test (20 items) and either General Tamil (80 items) or General English (80 items).

Selection Process
Selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the Written Examination and following rule of reservation of appointments. At the time of Counselling, based on the availability of vacancies, option exercised and eligibility candidates will be allotted to the districts.
