SSC MTS Notification 2023 Released
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the SSC MTS 2023 Notification on 18th January 2023 on its website @ssc.nic.in. This year, SSC has announced 11,409 vacancies through the SSC MTS 2023 Notification. Candidates can apply for the SSC MTS 2023 exam from 18th January 2023 to 17th February 2023. The Tier 1 exam will take place in April 2023.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed Matriculation Examination or equivalent from a recognized Board as on or before the cut-off date i.e. 17-02-2023.
Age Limit
The age limits vary by post:
- 18-25 years (born not before 02.01.1998 and not later than 01.01.2005) for MTS and Havaldar in CBN (Department of Revenue)
- 18-27 years (born not before 02.01.1996 and not later than 01.01.2005) for Havaldar in CBIC (Department of Revenue) and few posts of MTS
Application Fee
Fee payable: Rs 100/- (Rs one hundred only). Payment can be made online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards, or through cash in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.
Women candidates and those from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and Ex-servicemen (ESM) are exempted from fee payment.
Selection Procedure
The recruitment process differs by post:
- MTS: Two sessions in Computer Based Examination (CBE)
- Havaldar: Computer Based Examination (CBE) followed by Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST)
How to Apply
SSC has released the online application link with the official notification. Candidates must fill out the SSC MTS form 2022-23 online only. SSC Registration is required before filling the form.

SSC MTS 2023 Paper Pattern
The exam consists of two papers:
- Paper I: Computer-Based Examination in two sessions
- Paper II: Pen and paper-based
Paper I Details:
- Duration: 90 minutes for General, 120 minutes for PwD
- Session-1 (45 minutes): Numerical and Mathematical Ability (20 questions, 60 marks) + Reasoning Ability and Problem-Solving (20 questions, 60 marks)
- Session-2 (45 minutes): General Awareness (25 questions, 75 marks) + English Language and Comprehension (25 questions, 75 marks)
- Negative marking: 1 mark for wrong answers in Session-2 only
SSC Havaldar 2023 Physical Efficiency Test
- Walking: 1600 meters in 15 minutes (Male) | 1 km in 20 minutes (Female)
- Cycling: 8 km in 30 minutes (Male) | 3 km in 25 minutes (Female)
SSC Havaldar 2023 Physical Standard Test
- Height: 157.5 cms (Male) | 150 cms (Female)
- Chest: 76 cms (unexpanded) (Male Only)
- Weight: 48 Kg (Female)
