SSC CHSL 2016: 5134 Posts Open for Applications
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination, 2016. This recruitment drive offers 5134 positions across multiple posts. Interested candidates can view the official advertisement through the provided link.
Available Positions
The recruitment includes four main categories:
- Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants (PA/SA): 3281 Posts
- Data Entry Operators (DEO): 1321 Posts
- Lower Divisional Clerks (LDC): 506 Posts
- Court Clerk: 26 Posts
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
Age Limit: 18 to 27 years (as on 01/01/2017).
Application Process
Application Fee: Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only). Online applications will be accepted only at http://ssconline.nic.in. Payment can be made through SBI Challan/Net banking and credit/debit cards.
Selection Process: Candidates will be shortlisted for Tier-III Examination based on their performance in Tier-I (Computer based Written Examination) and Tier-II (Descriptive Examination). Those qualifying in the skill test/typing test (Tier-III) will be recommended for appointment based on their merit position and preferences.
Examination Pattern
The examination consists of three tiers:
- Computer Based Examination (Objective type)
- Descriptive Paper
- Typing Test/Skill Test
The written examination features Objective Type- Multiple choice questions only. Questions will be set in both English & Hindi for Part-I, III & IV. Negative marking of 0.50 marks will be applied for each wrong answer.
