The Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Directorate General, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), New Delhi has announced recruitment for 91 posts of General Duty Medical Officer (GDMOs) and Specialists in 2017.
Posts Breakdown
- General Duty Medical Officer (GDMOs): 74 Posts
- Specialist: 14 Posts
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Specialist: Recognized Medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in the concerned Specialty
- GDMO: Recognized Medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956
Pay Scale:
- Specialist: Rs. 85000/- (Per Month)
- GDMO: Rs. 75000/- (Per Month)
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 67 years
Selection Process
Selection will be based on Personal Interview & medical examination.

Suitable and willing candidates may walk in for Interview at scheduled places along with original & photocopies of all relevant documents (like Graduate Degree, Internship completion certificate, age proof and experience certificate if any etc) and application in plain paper super scripting the name of post applied for in the State / area / region and five passport size recent photographs.
