Southern Railway has invited applications for Sports Quota vacancies. As per the official Southern Railway Notification, aspirants can submit the online form on the department’s official website: https://sr.indianrailways.gov.in.
Southern Railway Jobs 2022 is conducting the recruitment drive for 21 vacancies. Interested candidates are advised to visit the official website of Southern Railway and apply for the same within the last date. Candidates can apply for the Southern Railway Recruitment 2022 till 02 January 2023.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- 12th Pass (+2 stage) (For post in Level 2 / 3 of 7th C P C Pay Matrix)
- Graduation (For post in Level 4 / 5 of 7th C P C Pay Matrix)
Age limit
- 18 to 25 Years as on 01-01-2023 i.e. the sportspersons should have been born between 02-01-1998 and 01-01-2005.
Application Fee
- The application fees is Rs 500 for all candidates and Rs 250 for candidates belonging to SC/ST/Women/ Ex. Servicemen/ Persons with Disabilities/candidates belonging to Minority communities and candidates belonging to Economically Backward Classes. Online fee payment can be done through internet banking or debit/credit cards.
Selection Process
- The candidates, who apply in response to this notification and are found eligible for consideration for appointment against sports quota, will be assessed based on their performance during the trial as detailed below:
- For Game Skill, Physical Fitness and Coach’s observation during trials: 40 Marks
- For assessment of recognised sports achievements as per Norms: 50 Marks
- Educational Qualification: 10 Marks
- TOTAL: 100 Marks
- Note:
- Candidates, who secured 25 marks or more in the trial only will be considered FIT
- Minimum qualifying marks for recruitment duly Observing the Criteria as mentioned in Para 5 above shall be as follows: (Minimum Qualifying Marks out of total 100 Marks)
- Level- 4 & 5: 70 Marks
- Level- 2 & 3: 65 Marks
