Rajasthan Postal Circle Recruitment 2016 for PA, SA, Postmen & MTS
About the Recruitment
The Government of India, Department of Posts, Rajasthan Postal Circle, Jaipur has announced direct recruitment for 31 posts under Sports Quota. These positions are available for Postal Assistant (PA), Sorting Assistant (SA), Postman & MTS Cadre.
Post-wise Vacancies
The recruitment drive includes the following positions:
- Postal Assistant: 12 Posts
- Sorting Assistant: 4 Posts
- Postman: 6 Posts
- Multi Tasking Staff (MTS): 9 Posts
Educational Qualifications
The educational requirements vary by post:
- Postal Assistant & Sorting Assistant: Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination as per Staff Selection Commission notification. Higher education candidates are eligible but must meet the 10+2 requirements. No bonus marks for higher education.
- Postman: Matriculation from a recognized Board or University. Higher education candidates must meet the matriculation requirements.
- MTS: Matriculation or ITI from a recognized Board. Higher education candidates must meet these requirements.
Desirable qualifications for Postal Assistant and Sorting Assistant include typing knowledge and computer knowledge.
Sports Qualification
Candidates must meet one of the following sports criteria:
- Represented a State or the country in National or International competition
- Represented university in inter-university tournaments conducted by Inter-University Sports Board
- Represented state schools team in National Sports/Games for schools conducted by All India School Games Federation
- Awarded National Awards in Physical Efficiency under National Physical Efficiency Drive
Age Limit
Age requirements vary by post:
- Postal Assistant, Sorting Assistant, and Postman: 18 to 27 years
- MTS: 18 to 25 years
Application Fee
All applicants must pay Rs 100/- (Rupees One hundred only) through Indian Postal Order (IPO) in favor of “Chief Postmaster General, Rajasthan Circle” payable at “Jaipur GPO, Jaipur-302001”. Original IPO must be enclosed with the application form. Applications submitted through other modes like cheque, demand draft, or UCR will be rejected.
Selection Process
Final selection will be based on written examination.
