Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have ITI certification in the respective trade they’re applying for. The specific requirements are:

  • Fitter: ITI in Fitter Trade
  • Turner: ITI in Turner Trade
  • Electrician: ITI in Electrician Trade
  • Welder: ITI in Welder Trade
  • Electronics: ITI in Electronics Trade
  • Instru. Mechanic: ITI in Instru. Mechanic Trade
  • Refrigeration and AC Mechanic: ITI in Refrigeration and AC Mechanic Trade
  • Carpenter: ITI in Carpenter Trade
  • Plumber: ITI in Plumber Trade
  • Wireman: ITI in Wireman Trade
  • Diesel Mechanic: ITI in Diesel Mechanic Trade
  • Machinist: ITI in Machinist Trade
  • Painter: ITI in Painter Trade
  • Mason: ITI in Mason Trade
  • Information and Communication Technology system Maint.: ITI in Information and Communication

Age Limit

The minimum age should not be below 16 years as of 21st January 2020. The maximum age is 24 years for General/EWS candidates. Age relaxations apply as per Government of India directives: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for PwBD candidates.

Stipend During Apprenticeship

The stipend will be:

  • 90% of the minimum wage for semi-skilled workers (for candidates with 2-year ITI training)
  • 80% of the minimum wage for semi-skilled workers (for candidates with 1-year ITI training)

Selection Process

Final selection will be based on a written exam or merit.

Physical Standards

  • Height: 137 cm
  • Weight: 25.4 Kg
  • Chest measurement: Expansion should not be less than 3.8 cm (irrespective of chest size)
  • Vision: No evidence of morbid conditions in either eye that may pose risks
