Kandla Port Trust Recruitment 2016 for Harbour Master
Kandla Port Trust published an official notification for the post of Harbour Master in the scale of pay of Rs. 43,200 – 66,000 (IDA), on deputation/direct recruitment basis as per the recruitment rules.

Educational Qualifications
For deputation: Officers holding analogous posts or holding posts of Dock Master/Master Pilot/Dredging Supdt. and its equivalent dock side post with experience in the scale of Rs. 36,600-62,000 (IDA pattern) with 2 years regular service in the grade in Govt./PSUs/Autonomous Bodies will be eligible. The selection is by merit for which the benchmark in overall grading in the ACRs will not be below “Very Good”. The deputation will be governed by the Rules/Guidelines issued by the Central Govt. from time to time. The deputation will be for a period of three years.
For Direct Recruitment
- Must hold a certificate of competency as Master of foreign going ship issued by the Ministry of shipping, Govt. of India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of Shipping, Govt. of India.
- Must hold Pilot licence and have experience of 8 years either as Master of foreign going ship or in Piloting or cumulative.

The eligible and willing officers, who satisfy the provisions of recruitment rules for the above mentioned post, may apply through proper channel in the prescribed format (Annexure-II), alongwith the following documents to this Port Trust on or before 04/07/2016.
Required Documents
- Attested copies of ACRs/Annual Performance Appraisal Reports of the applicant for the last 5 years.
- Self Attested copies of all certificates.
- No Objection Certificate of respective Port/Organization.
- An undertaking of the applicant not to withdraw, if selected.
- Vigilance/Administrative clearance of the concerned Port/Organization in the Proforma prescribed by the Ministry (Annexure-III).
