Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Post Graduation Degree in respective discipline from recognized University/Institute. Candidates must not have completed 03 years Senior Residency in any recognized institute including regular or Ad-hoc basis.
For the Post of Senior Resident in Emergency Medical Services Department (Casualty), candidates should possess M.D/DNB in Medicine/M.S/DNB in General Surgery.
Note: If MD/MS/DNB candidates are not available/eligible in any particular specialty, those with 02 years Post Graduate Diploma after M.B.B.S in the concerned specialty can be considered.
Age Limit
- 33 years for those having Post Graduate qualification
- 35 years for Post-Doctoral Degree holders (DM/M.Ch)
Pay Scale
Rs.18750/- + Grade Pay of Rs. 6600/-
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on written test/interview. A written Examination based on MCQs in the subject concerned will be conducted for eligible candidates followed by personal interview. 85% of total marks will be for written test and 15% for Personal interview. Candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on their written test marks. List of short list candidates will be displayed on our notice board on the same day. In this regard, this Institute reserves the right to take the final decision.
Application Fee
Rs.500/- for General and OBC candidates and Rs.250/- for SC/ST candidates, demand draft drawn in favor of The Director, JIPMER, Puducherry-06. No fee is payable by Persons with Disabilities (PwD’s) candidates.

Eligible candidates may walk in interview with filled application format, bio data, original & self attested copies of Date of Birth Certificate/10th/12th mark sheet, MBBS Degree/Provisional Certificates, Medical Council Registration Certificate, Internship Completion Certificate, SC/ST certificate and latest OBC certificate.
