Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- For Head Constable (MM): 10+2 pass from a recognized board OR ITI certificate in Motor Mechanic with 3 years practical experience OR 3 years diploma in Automobile Engineering
- For Constable (MM): 10th pass from a recognized board AND either ITI certificate in respective trade OR 3 years experience in the trade
Age Limit: 18 to 25 years
Application Fee: Rs. 100 for General/OBC candidates. SC/ST and Ex-servicemen are exempted from the fee. Payment must be made online through www.recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in
Selection Process
Selected candidates will receive admit cards online to appear for recruitment tests. The entire process includes:
- Written examination
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Document verification
Important Note: Before PET and PST, candidates must undergo biometric identity verification. Biometric identification may be required at any stage of recruitment.
Document Verification
Bring these original documents for verification:
- Educational certificates
- Date of birth certificate (from 10th certificate)
- Professional/Experience certificate (if applicable)
- Caste certificates (SC/ST/OBC)
- Domicile proof (PAN card, Aadhar card, Driving License, Voter ID, or Passport)
- Discharge certificate (for Ex-servicemen)
- Passport size photograph
- Certificate for height/chest relaxation (if applicable)
OBC Note: Creamy layer certificate must be obtained within 3 years before the closing date (07.02.2018).
Physical Standards
General Category:
- Height: 170 cms
- Chest: 80 cms (without expansion) | 85 cms (with expansion)
For Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas, and candidates from Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir, Leh and Ladakh regions:
- Height: 165 cms
- Chest: 78 cms (without expansion) | 83 cms (with expansion)
For candidates from North-Eastern States (Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura):
- Height: 162.5 cms
- Chest: 77 cms (without expansion) | 82 cms (with expansion)
For Scheduled Tribes from North-Eastern States and Left Wing Extremism affected districts:
- Height: 160 cms
- Chest: 76 cms (without expansion) | 81 cms (with expansion)
