IRDAI Recruitment 2016 for Junior Officer
The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has announced a recruitment drive for Junior Officer positions. This is your chance to join one of India’s leading regulatory bodies in the insurance sector.
Available Positions
IRDAI has 24 vacancies spread across four specializations:
- Actuarial: 4 posts
- Accounting: 3 posts
- Legal: 2 posts
- General: 15 posts
Educational Requirements
For all positions, you need a First Class Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 60% marks. Here are the specific requirements for each specialization:
- Actuarial: Pass in Nine papers of Institute of Actuaries
- Accounting: ACA/AICWA/ACS qualification
- Legal: LL.B with 60% marks or Five year Integrated LLB Course in First class with 60% marks
- General: No additional specialization required
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 21 to 35 years as of 01/01/2016.
Selection Process
The recruitment will follow a three-phase process:
- Phase I: Online preliminary examination (Objective type) – This is a qualifying exam to shortlist candidates for Phase II
- Phase II: Online Descriptive examination comprising 3 Papers (Paper I, II and III)
- Phase III: Interview
Note: Marks from Phase I won’t count for the final selection.
Application Fee
Pay Rs. 100/- (intimation charges) if you’re from SC/ST/PWD/Ex-servicemen category. Others need to pay Rs. 500/- (examination fee + intimation charges). Payment must be made online.
