IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2025: 513 Positions Open Across Regions
Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has announced a major recruitment drive for 2025, offering 513 apprentice positions across Southern and Western regions. The application process is already underway with specific timelines for each region.
Application Timeline
The recruitment drive kicked off on 16 January 2025 for the Southern region, with applications closing on 16 February 2025. Meanwhile, the Western region applications started on 17 January 2025 and will end on 07 February 2025.
Vacancy Breakdown
A total of 513 positions have been announced under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act of 1973. Here’s how they’re distributed:
- Southern Region (200 positions):
- Technician Apprentice: 25
- Graduate Apprentice: 120
- Trade Apprentice: 55
- Western Region (313 positions):
- Technician Apprentice: 80
- Graduate Apprentice: 198
- Trade Apprentice: 35
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have completed ITI, Degree, or Diploma courses between 2020 and 2024. The age requirement is between 18 and 24 years.
Regional Eligibility
Southern Region candidates must be residents of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, or Puducherry. Western Region candidates should belong to Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, UT of Daman & Diu, or UT of Dadra & Nagar Havelli.
Qualification Requirements
For Trade Apprentice positions, candidates need to meet specific ITI qualifications:
- Trade Apprentice (Fitter): Matric + 2-year ITI (Fitter) from NCVET/SCVT
- Trade Apprentice (Electrician): Matric + 2-year ITI (Electrician) from NCVET/SCVT
- Trade Apprentice (Electronics Mechanic): Matric + 2-year ITI (Electronics Mechanic) from NCVET/SCVT
- Trade Apprentice (Instrument Mechanic): Matric + 2-year ITI (Instrument Mechanic) from NCVET/SCVT
- Trade Apprentice (Machinist): Matric + 2-year ITI (Machinist) from NCVET/SCVT
Selection Process
The selection process is straightforward – no written test or interview required. Candidates will be selected based on their merit list, which considers the percentage of marks obtained in their qualifying examinations. All applicants must ensure they’re medically fit according to Indian Oil’s pre-engagement medical format.
