Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
For Engineers/ Officers:
- Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology from recognized Indian universities.
- General and OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates need minimum 65% marks.
- SC/ST/PWD candidates need minimum 55% marks.
- Final year students can apply but must submit final mark sheets by August 31, 2018.
- M.Tech candidates in non-mentioned disciplines are eligible if they have BE/B.Tech in relevant disciplines and appeared in GATE-2018.
- Integrated ME/M.Tech candidates are eligible if they’ve completed BE/B.Tech requirements and will complete ME/M.Tech by August 2018.
- Graduates in combined disciplines like Mechatronics or Robotics are not eligible.
For Assistant Officer (Quality Control):
- Candidates must have M.Sc in Chemistry from recognized Indian universities.
- General and OBC candidates need minimum 60% marks.
- SC/ST/PWD candidates need minimum 55% marks.

For Engineers/ Officers:
- Chemical Engineering (including Petrochemicals, Polymer, Plastic Engineering)
- Civil Engineering (excluding Construction, Environmental, Transportation engineering)
- Computer Science & Information Technology
- Electrical Engineering (including Electrical & Electronics engineering)
- Electronics & Communications Engineering
- Instrumentation Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering (excluding specialized branches)
- Metallurgical Engineering (including Mineral, Material Sciences)
For Assistant Officer (Quality Control) in Marketing Division:
- M.Sc in Chemistry (Inorganic, Organic, Analytical, Physical, Applied Chemistry)
Age Limit
- Officers/ Engineers: Maximum 26 years as on June 30, 2018 for general category.
- Assistant Officer (Quality Control): Maximum 30 years as on June 30, 2018 for general category.
- Age relaxation applicable for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), SC, ST, and PWD candidates as per Presidential Directives.
Selection Process
The selection process is straightforward and merit-based:
- Shortlisting: Based on GATE-2018 scores only (GATE 2017 or previous scores are not valid)
- Further Selection: Shortlisted candidates undergo Group Discussion (GD), Group Task (GT), and Personal Interview (PI)
- Merit List: Final selection based on performance in all stages following reservation policy
