Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment 2016

The Indian Navy has opened applications for unmarried male and female candidates to join as Short Service Commission (SSC) Officers. You can serve as either a Pilot or Observer in the Executive Branch. The training course begins in January 2016 at the Indian Naval Academy in Ezhimala, Kerala.

  • Pilot (Men only)
  • Observer (Men and Women)

Age Requirements

Candidates must be between 19 to 24 years old. This means you should be born between January 2, 1992, and July 1, 1997, including both dates.

Educational Qualifications

  • BE/B.Tech in any discipline with Physics and Mathematics at 12th Standard
  • Minimum percentage: 60% for Pilot entry and 55% for Observer entry
  • CPL option: Graduation with 60% marks, Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level, and current CPL issued by DGCA

Physical Standards

  • Height and Weight: 162.5 cm for men, 152 cm for women with proper weight correlation, leg length, sitting height and thigh length
  • Eye Sight: Minimum 6/6 vision, correctable to 6/6, 6/6. No color blindness or night blindness allowed
