Educational Qualifications

Group – B & C: Candidates must have passed Madhayamik or equivalent examination from any recognized Board, along with a Certificate in Computer Training from a recognized Institution and satisfactory fingering speed in Computer operation.

Group – D (other than Karmabandhu (Sweeper)): Candidates must have Class VIII pass certificate from any recognized School, Madrasa, or any other recognized equivalent Institution.

Karmabandhu (Sweeper): Applicants must have ability to read and write Bengali. For the post of Night Guard, candidates should be in sound health, have good physique, and be free from any organic defect and bodily infirmity.

Age Limit

Age must be between 18 to 40 years as on 01/01/2016.

Selection Process

Lower Division Clerk: Two-part examination – Part-I (100 marks, 100 objective questions on English, General Studies, and Arithmetic, duration 1½ hours) and Part-II (conventional questions on English and Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali, 50 marks each, duration 1 hour). Successful candidates will undergo personality test and computer test (10 marks). Final selection based on total marks.

English Typist-Copyist: Preliminary Examination (objective type on General English and Current Affairs) followed by Main Examination (type test – 450 words in 15 minutes). Maximum 5% mistakes allowed. Personality test and computer operation knowledge will be tested.

Group-D (Peon/Night Guard/Farash) except Karmabandhu: Written examination followed by personality test. Final selection based on total marks in both components.

Process Server/Summon Bailiff: Written examination followed by personality test. Final selection based on total marks.

Bengali Stenographer (Basic Grade): Three papers – Bengali (100 marks, 1½ hours), Typing in Bengali (100 marks), and Dictation in shorthand with transcription (400 marks). Personality test and computer operation knowledge will be evaluated.
