Gujarat High Court Releases Eligible Candidates List for Court Manager Exam 2017

The High Court of Gujarat has published the list of candidates declared eligible for the Preliminary Examination for the post of Court Manager (Purely On Contract Bases). The Court Manager exam is scheduled to be held on 19 March 2017, Sunday.

Court Manager Syllabus & Exam Pattern

The Preliminary Examination will be conducted at Ahmedabad at centers decided by the High Court, based on a ‘Computer Based (Online) Examination System’. The exam is worth 100 marks and lasts 2 hours.

  • Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) worth 1 mark each
  • Negative marking of 0.33 mark for each wrong answer

    • Business Economics
    • Organisational Behavior & Design
    • Quantitative Techniques

    • Accounting for Managers, Financial Accounting & Financial Management

  • Computer Skills/Applications knowledge – 10 Marks
  • Legal knowledge – 10 Marks
  • General I.Q. Test – 10 Marks
  • English Language – 10 Marks
  • Gujarati Language – 10 Marks

The Preliminary Examination will have 90 questions in English and 10 questions in Gujarati.

Selection Process

  • Candidates securing minimum 55% marks in the Preliminary Examination will be eligible for Viva-voce Test (Oral Interview)
  • Marks obtained in Preliminary Examination won’t be considered for Final Merit List
  • Only Viva-voce Test marks will be considered for preparing the Final Merit List
  • If large number of candidates qualify, High Court may restrict Viva-voce Test candidates to 3 times the number of vacancies

Viva-voce Test Details

  • Likely to be held in April/May 2017
  • e-Call-letters cum Admission Slip downloading will start the preceding week from the Viva-voce Test date
  • Candidates must keep checking the High Court website for updates
  • Viva-voce Test is worth 100 marks
  • Assessment areas: Personality, Aptitude and Orientation, Computer Application Skills, People skills, Communication Skills, Legal Knowledge
  • Minimum 50% marks required in Viva-voce Test for inclusion in Select List
