Heavy Water Board (HWB) is calling for online applications from eligible candidates for 117 positions across various Heavy Water Plants located throughout India. This recruitment drive covers multiple technical and non-technical roles with specific educational requirements and age limits.

The recruitment drive includes 117 positions divided into several categories:
- Category-I Trainee: 62 Posts (Chemical – 39, Mechanical – 11, Electrical – 03, Instrumentation – 05, Chemistry (Laboratory) – 04)
- Category-II Trainee: 105 Posts (Mechanical (Fitter) – 25, Electrical – 20, Instrument-Mechanic – 10, Process/Plant Operator – 50)
- Station Officer/A: 01 Post (UR) for HWP Manuguru, Telangana
- Sub Officer/B1: 01 Post (ST) for HWP Manuguru, Telangana
- Technician C/D (Crane Operator): 07 Posts
- Technician C/D (Mechanic cum Dozer Operator): 01 Post
Educational Qualifications
Candidates must meet specific educational criteria based on the post they’re applying for:
- Category-I Trainee: Diploma in Concerned Discipline (except Chemistry Discipline). For Chemistry positions: B.Sc. with Chemistry as Principal and Physics/Mathematics/Biology as subsidiary.
- Category-II Trainee: Minimum 60% marks in SSC with Science and Maths plus ITI certificate in required trade.
- Station Officer: Passed SSC (Matriculation with +2) or equivalent + Certificate of Station Officer’s course from National Fire Service College or CISF Fire Training Centre. OR Graduate from Institute of Fire Engineering, India/London.
- Sub Officer: SSC or equivalent + Sub Officer’s Course from National Fire Services College OR from CISF Fire Training Centre. Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence holders get preference.
- Technician/D (Crane Operator): Minimum 60% marks in SSC OR HSC with Science & Mathematics.
- Technician/D (Mechanic cum Dozer operator): Minimum 60% marks in SSC or HSC with Science and Mathematics + Trade Certificate in Diesel Mechanic of one year duration.
Age Limits
Age requirements vary by post category:
- Category-I Trainee: 18 to 25 Years
- Category-II Trainee: 18 to 22 Years
- Sub Officer/Station Officer: 40 Years
- Technician C/D: 18 to 33 Years
Selection Process
The selection procedure includes Written Examination (Online/Offline), Trade Test, and Interview. Written exam centers are located in Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Baroda, Kota, and Bhubaneswar.
Application Fee
The application fee is Rs.20 for General and OBC Category. SC/ST, Women, Ex-servicemen, and Physically Challenged persons are exempted from the fee.
