India Post Gujarat Recruitment 2020: 144 Posts Open for Sports Quota Candidates
The Indian Postal Circle (IPC) has announced a fantastic opportunity for sports enthusiasts in Gujarat. They’re recruiting 144 positions across three different posts, specifically reserved for candidates with sports achievements. The application window opens on July 10, 2020, and closes on July 31, 2020.
Available Positions

- Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant (PA/SA): 52 positions
- Postman/Mail Guard: 47 positions
- Multi Tasking Staff (MTS): 45 positions
Eligibility Requirements
Educational Qualifications
Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant: You need to have passed 10+2 or 12th class from a recognized board.
Postman/Mail Guard: 12th class pass is required, plus you must know Gujarati. You should have studied Gujarati at least up to 10th standard.
Multi Tasking Staff: 10th class pass is needed, with Gujarati language knowledge. Again, Gujarati should have been studied up to 10th standard.
Age Limits
Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant and Postman/Mail Guard: 18 to 27 years (as of July 31, 2020)
Multi Tasking Staff: 18 to 25 years (as of July 31, 2020)
Application Fee
The application fee is Rs.120/- (One Hundred Twenty Only). If you’ve already paid this fee for previous applications, it remains valid.
Selection Process
The selection will be based on your sports achievements, following this priority order:
- First Preference: International competition clearance from Department of Youth Affairs and Sports
- Second Preference: State/Union Territory Senior or Junior Level National Championship
- Third Preference: University Inter-University competition
- Fourth Preference: State Schools National Sports/Games
- Fifth Preference: National Award in physical efficiency
- Sixth Preference: State/Union Territory/University/State School Teams
